Privacy Policy

Your wardrobe belongs to you. Closset analyzes your photos on your iPhone to help you find and organize your clothes.

1. Who we are

Closset is provided by Syksoft ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use Closset and visit its legal pages. For privacy questions or requests, contact generalsupport@syksoft.com.

2. Photos and face matching

With your permission, Closset reads the photos you make available through Apple Photos. You can grant access to selected photos or your library, and change this permission in iPhone Settings. The camera is used when you choose to take a selfie.

Closset uses your reference selfie to create a numerical representation of facial features and compare it with faces in your photos. This processing happens on your device using bundled machine-learning models. The reference images and matching records are stored locally; the reference facial representation is computed for matching on your device. We do not upload your photos, selfies, facial representations, or clothing cutouts to Syksoft or RevenueCat, use them to train remote AI models, sell them, or use face matching for advertising. Use your own selfie and only process photos you have permission to use.

Gallery scanning uses available local images and previews. When a likely match is stored in iCloud, you can select it for download and clothing extraction. Selecting an iCloud photo in the single-photo picker may also cause Apple to download it. Apple handles these transfers under its own terms. Closset does not alter or delete your original photos.

3. Information stored on your device

Closset stores your profile answers, preferences, reference selfie images, photo identifiers, matching results, clothing cutouts, color and style tags, saved outfits, calendar plans, and scan progress in its local app storage. The wardrobe storage folder uses iOS file protection and is excluded from device backups. We do not maintain a server copy of your wardrobe.

If you enable outfit reminders, iOS schedules local notifications. You can turn notifications off in Settings. The app also stores preferences and the date of its last review request locally.

A separate device Keychain entry records whether your free gallery scan was completed and the identifiers of iCloud matches eligible for its follow-up. This prevents resetting the free allowance by clearing the wardrobe. Keychain information can remain after uninstalling the app.

4. Purchases and subscription services

Apple processes App Store payments. We do not receive your full payment card details. Closset uses RevenueCat to verify subscription access and restore purchases. RevenueCat processes an app user identifier, purchase and transaction information, subscription status, and technical information such as app, SDK, device, and operating-system versions. Service requests may also involve IP addresses and diagnostic information. These records allow us and our service providers to operate subscriptions and resolve support issues.

See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy for their practices. Subscription providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, subject to their applicable safeguards.

5. Support and website visits

If you contact us, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and resolve your request. Avoid sending photos or other personal information that is not needed for support.

When you open our website, the hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and access time to deliver and secure the pages. These legal pages do not contain advertising trackers or analytics scripts.

6. Purposes and choices

We use information to provide requested features, verify purchases, prevent misuse of the free scan, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, the grounds for processing include providing the service you request, your consent for optional permissions and face matching, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and legal obligations. You can stop face matching by not scanning, revoke photo or camera access in Settings, and disable face matching for single-photo scans using the app's switch.

Closset does not include advertising or sell your personal information. We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising.

7. Retention, deletion, and your rights

Local wardrobe information remains until you delete it using available app controls or remove the app's data by deleting the app in iPhone Storage. Offloading the app may preserve its data. Removing Closset does not remove your original Photos library, cancel a subscription, or necessarily clear Keychain entries. Contact us if you need help with the free-scan record.

Support and subscription records are retained as needed to operate the service, address disputes, and comply with legal requirements; Apple and RevenueCat also apply their own retention policies. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, withdraw consent, or request portability of personal information, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. We cannot remotely access or delete wardrobe content stored only on your device.

8. Children and security

Closset is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device protected and do not share your unlock credentials.

9. Policy updates

We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice where required.
